Guess what world? If you didn’t know, I’m not the only person who likes talking about food on the internet (who knew right???). If you like this blog and don’t know about Epic Meal Time then it’s about time you do. These Canadians came out with their channel about a year ago and just recently posted their one year anniversary video. When I heard about an online “cooking show” youtube channel I expected it to be boring honestly, but after watching these guys’ videos I have to say this channel is funny as hell. They definitely take online cooking shows to the next level. Check it out.
In my English class, we took a look at a guy named Justin Hall who had published an enormous amount of his life on to the internet. He had crazy amounts of followers and you have to wonder, why? After watching some of his videos you can tell that Dustin has some real psychological issues. Here’s a link to one of his videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hx8rDD1ekGU . I think it is because the world is simply attracted to things that are crazy or out of the box. I mean in real life we might not want to meet this guy, but as far as the internet goes people actually PREFER this stuff because this guy is so incredibly odd. Epic Meal Time is similar to Justin in the sense that they both of unique internet personalities.
Epic Meal Time is popular because it has this personality to it. It wouldn’t be right if they didn’t have some ridiculously close shots of them flipping bacon strips. It wouldn’t be Epic Meal Time if they didn’t swear a shit ton and if there wasn’t a sauce boss. They have pretty much taken cooking shows to the next level by creating a personality for themselves. They have tee-shirts you can buy that literally have the words “BACON STRIPS AND BACON STRIPS” written all over it. It’s all about the image it seems like. Pretty interesting stuff I must say.
