In a reading assignment from my English class, we read about how storytelling is one of the most effective ways of communication. Blogging about snacks for example, and blogging in general, kind of has the same effectiveness when it comes to the digital age of society in which we live in. Of course blogs are not the “spoken word,” but because of the continuously growing number of people that use the internet, blogs can be seen as the next closest substitute for effective storytelling. I mean let’s be honest, you hear people say they love snacks but do you know anyone who goes into as much depth about them as I do? Probably not, but if you do give them a high five.
Ok so I also want to also take a look at some of the more sugar-y snacks in our world. When I was a kid they came out with “Fruit by the Foot.” These snacks are literally just a big roll of fruit/candy goodness. You unroll it as you eat it pretty much and it feels like they last forever. Fruit by the Foot was the best when I was a kid, and after eating one just yesterday for the first time in years I realized that they’re definitely worthy of [Snack Attack]. If I had two of them I'de make a fruit rope for sure just to bring back memories of the good ole days. Try one of these if you ever get the chance.
i still love fruit by the foot. definitely not just a kids snack :)
ReplyDeleteI had a good laugh at the part about who writes as much about snacks as you do. Nice voice there!
ReplyDeleteIts intresting to see how foods when we were little are now terrible to us. I eat soo differntly now and i didnt even notice till you pointed out how we sometimes dont like the food we used to eat. I love how you use the reading to tie together the blog and how you are trying to use it to express your ideas.
ReplyDeleteBeef jerky is the best, i wish it was more healthy because i eat it all the time. Same with fruit by the foot, which i still eat to this day
ReplyDeletei've never had jerky but your post makes me curious...
